Charles Ralph Edlin

Dateline: McKenzie, TN Services for Charles Ralph Edlin, 76, will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the McKenzie Funeral Home with Brother Fred Morris officiating. Interment will follow at Carroll Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 14, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, November 15, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Mr. Edlin, a heavy equipment operator and employed at Republic Builders, died Sunday, November 13, 2011 at his home. He was born on September 7, 1935 in Carroll County to Floyd and Daphne Violet Jones Edlin. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church, a former Deacon at New Hope Baptist Church, an US Army Korean War veteran, a member of the VFW Post 4939, and a member of the Steelworkers Union, He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife of 53 years Phyllis Anne Edlin, three sons Phil Edlin, Tracy Edlin, Chris Edlin, four grandchildren and two sisters Barbara Winecoff and Evelyn McCain.
