Dateline: McKenzie, TN Services for Legion Harris Morris, 82, will be held Saturday February 4, 2012, at 2:00 pm at McKenzie Funeral Home with Brother Eddie Mallonee officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 3, 2012 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Saturday, February 4, 2012 from 11:00 am until service time. Mr. Morris, a machinist and production employee at McDonald Douglas in Long Beach, California, ITT in Milan, TN and Tennessee Metals in Huntingdon, TN, died Sunday, January29, 2012 at his residence. He was born on May 3, 1929 in Bells, TN to Flerry and Nancy Osborne Morris. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in McKenzie and was Korean War US Army veteran from 1952-1955 serving in Germany and retired from the US Army. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Fred Morris. Survivors include his wife of 56 years Katie Jean Williams Morris of McKenzie, a daughter Tammy (AB) Marlar of Sharon, TN, a son Ken (Debi) Morris of Union City, TN, a sister Jeanette Christopherson of Olympia, WA, a brother Lofton (Reba) Morris of Greenfield, TN, nine grandchildren: Christopher Cozart, Karen Cozart of McKenzie, Adam Marlar of Sharon, TN, Elizabeth Marlar of Greenfield, TN, Chris Marlar of Franklin, LA, Jay (Liz) Morris of Union City, TN, Kendra (Chuck) Nash of Troy, TN, Lauren Morris of McKenzie, TN, Michelle (Adam) Strayer of Crossville, TN and 19 great grandchildren.
