Dateline: Dresden, TN Memorial services for Joseph Eugene Crawford, 91, will be held Monday, February 6th at 11:00 a.m. at Dresden First United Methodist Church with Reverend Mark Earheart officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 6th at the Dresden First United Methodist Church from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. Mr. Crawford, who was a farmer and businessman in Dresden, an active member of the Dresden First United Methodist Church, a 1943 graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, a former businessman in Jackson, TN, and a United States Army World War II Veteran died Friday, February 3, 2012 at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin, TN. He was born on February 23, 1920 in Dresden, TN to Joseph Basil and Polly Sanderfer Crawford. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Stella Flint and a brother Don Crawford. Survivors include his wife Marjorie Elizabeth Warmath Crawford of Dresden, TN, a daughter Polly Beth (Donald) Glover of Sevierville, TN, two sons Jim (Sharon) Crawford of Springville, TN, Joe Crawford of Dresden, TN, a sister Opal Pentecost of Dresden, TN, six grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
