Charlotte Roberta Highfill

Highfill, Charlotte 89, formally of Midland, Michigan died Thursday, April 26, 2012 in Jackson, Michigan. She was born December 1, 1922, in Kincardine, Ontario, Canada, to the late Andrew Farrell Campbell and Anna Maude Campbell. Charlotte married Romeo Duval in 1940; he died in Detroit in 1946. She then married James Highfill in 1954; he died in McKenzie, Tennessee in 1993. Charlotte loved to visit with her grandchildren, write poetry, read books, and play cards. She is survived by her daughters, Diane (Hal) Duval Richards of Midland, MI and Norma (Bob) Duval Wittel of Jackson, MI; eight grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Highfill is at the J. L. Watson Funeral Chapel where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 1, at 12:00 p.m.; Reverend Sue Babb officiating. Interment will be on Thursday, May 3, at 11:00 a.m., in Tumbling Creek Cemetery in Gleason, TN. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Riverside Place, 400 East Main Street, Midland, MI 48640. Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home will be in charge of local services.
