Virginia Ruth Crocker

Dateline: McKenzie, TN Services for Virginia Ruth Carter Crocker, 71, will be held Monday, May 28, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home with Bro. Jason Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Union Academy Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 27, 2012 from 5:30 pm until 8:00 pm and Monday, May 28, 2012 from 11:00 until time of service. Mrs. Crocker, a retired part-time Cafeteria employee, died May 26, 2012, at her home in McKenzie. She was born on June 1, 1940 in Denmark, TN to Robert E. Lee and Dorothy Lee Glynn Carter. She was a member of the Union Academy Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Otis Crocker, a sister Carolyn Jean Carter and a number of other half-brothers and sisters. Survivors include two daughters Susie Bomar of McKenzie, TN and Virginia Gail Crocker of Brighton, TN, two sons Ronny E. Crocker of McKenzie, TN and Jerry (Vickie) Crocker of McKenzie, three sisters Lola Mae (Jerry) Floyd of Greenfield, TN, Faye (Joe) Rushing of Newbern, TN and Betty (Jimmy) Trevathan of McKenzie, TN, two brothers T.C. (Linda) Carter of Denmark, TN and Jimmie Carter of McKenzie, TN, seven grandchildren Crystal Shostrand, Michael Bomar, Randy Crocker, Candee Crocker, Bridget Balentine, Kayla Bomar and Anthony Holladay. Nine great grandchildren Dillon Drewry, Logan Drewry, Angel Crocker, Kelsee Brasure, Hunter Balentine, Caleb Balentine, Landon Doster, Brandon Doster and Tristan Shostrand .
