James E. Bryant

Services for James Elmer Bryant, 87, will be held Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 11:30 am at the Cedar Avenue Chapel of Brummitt- McKenzie Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Trezevant Cemetery, Trezevant, TN. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 2, 2012 from 11:00 am until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Bryant, a geophysicist for Shell Oil, died Monday, July 30, 2012. He was born on May 10, 1925, in Trezevant, TN to Robert Virgil and Mary Thelma (Palmer) Bryant. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife of fifty-eight years, Chesta Bell "CB" Bryant. Mr. Bryant is survived by his wife, Geraldine Campbell of McKenzie; one daughter, Jan Bryant-Smith and her husband Daniel of Denver, CO; one son, Steve Bryant of Burkburnett, TX; three step-children, Beverly(Pat) McNeil, Letha (Eddie) Basford and Keith(Betsy) Campbell all of McKenzie. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church, McKenzie, TN
