Vernice Dwayne Montgomery

MCKENZIE, TN Memorial Services for Vernice Dwayne Montgomery, 69, will be held Friday, February 15, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at the Cedar Avenue Chapel of Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home with Brother Alan Trull officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, McKenzie, TN. Visitation will begin, Friday, at 1:00 p.m. - until service time. Mr. Montgomery died Sunday, February 10, 2013 at his residence. He was born on August 16, 1943, in McKenzie, TN to Vernice and Verna Scarbrough Montgomery. He was a meter reader for Carroll County Electric Dept and also a retired EMT. Mr. Montgomery was also a member of the U.S. Air Force and the VFW. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Sandra Roberts Montgomery, and a sister Annette Montgomery Reed. He is survived by his companion of twenty-one years, Bonnie Sue Haines of McKenzie; a daughter, Brenda Thralls of McKenzie; two sons, Tony (Christie) Haines of McKenzie and Chris (Elaina) Haines of Paris; a sister, Joan Gibson of McKenzie and six grandchildren, Nicholas Thralls, Caleb Haines, Kaleigh Haines, Haley Honeycutt, Hannah Honeycutt and Morgan Honeycutt.
