William Highfill

Funeral Services for William Thomas Highfill, 83, will be Saturday, May 4, 2013; 3:00 p.m. at Cedar Avenue Chapel of Brummitt - McKenzie Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, McKenzie, TN. Visitation will begin on Friday, May 3, 2013, 6:00p.m. - 8:00p.m.at the funeral home and Saturday 2:00pm until service time. Mr. Highfill died Thursday, May 2, 2013 at his residence. He was born February 3, 1930 in McKenzie, TN to Henry Fayne and Mary Carter Highfill. He retired from Brown Shoe Company, McKenzie Methodist Hospital and R & B Cleaners. He was a member of Blooming Grove Methodist Church and an Army Veteran. He is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Carolyn Rodgers Highfill of McKenzie; one son, Roger (Martha) Highfill of McKenzie; one sister Mary (Jerry) Weatherford of McKenzie; two granddaughters, Mona Cude and Rina Prosser and five great-grandchildren, Colby, Wendy, Shelby, Luke, and Abby.
