Franklin Eugene Shiney, Sr

MCKENZIE, TN Memorial Services for Franklin E. Shiney, Sr, 77, will be announced at a later date. Mr. Shiney died Monday, May 20, 2013 at McKenzie Regional Hospital. He was born September 15, 1935 to Fred H Shiney, Sr and Elma Schuerman Shiney. He was a mechanic and service manager for several car dealerships. After he retired he returned to work for Northwest TN Head Start as their custodian and bus driver. Mr. Shiney was a member of McKenzie First Methodist Church and a Korean War Navy Veteran. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathy M Warren. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Shiney of McKenzie; two daughters, Karen May of Smyrna and Patty (Myke) Wilson of McKenzie; two sons, Frank Shiney, Jr of Nashville, TN and Mike Connell of McKenzie; one brother, Fred H (Mystel) Shiney, Jr of Kechi, Kansas; six grandchildren, Jeffrey (Heather) Foote, Justin Wilson, Chelsea Connell, Logan Connell, Austin Connell and Gracie Connell and one great-grandson, Hudson Foote.
