Donny Lynn Sawyers

MCKENZIE, TN Funeral Services for Donny Lynn Sawyers, 59, will be Friday, May 31, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cedar Avenue Chapel of Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Carroll Memorial Gardens, McKenzie, TN. Visitation will be Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 4:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home, and visitation Friday will begin at, 11:00 a.m. until service time. Mr. Sawyers died Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Jackson General Hospital. He was born June 8, 1953 to Bob and Thelma Scott Sawyers. He retired from Murray Inc. where he worked as a quality control inspector. Mr. Sawyer was an avid animal lover and also a member of Grace Baptist Church in McKenzie. He was preceded in death by his father, Bob Sawyer. He is survived by his wife of eleven years, Anita Mason Sawyers of McKenzie, his mother, Thelma Scott Sawyers of McKenzie; three step-sons, Paul Mathis of Huntingdon, David Mathis of Paris, and Mark(Tanya) Mathis of Huntingdon; one brother, Bobby(Diana) Sawyers of McKenzie; two step-grandchildren John Mathis and Brooklyn Mathis.
