Dateline: McKenzie, TN Graveside services for Betty Jean Rea, 72, will be held Monday, July 1, 2013 at 3:00 pm at Carroll Memorial Gardens with Brother Dewayne Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Carroll Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Rea a homemaker, died Friday, June 28, 2013, at her residence. She was born on August 5, 1940 in Turrel Twist, Arkansas to Lonnie and Nola Cribbs Bateman. She was Methodist in faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lewis Mayo and a grandson Grady Jonathan Stanfill. Survivors include a daughter Linda (Grady) Stanfill of McKenzie, a son Lewis (Salvation) Mayo of Riverview, FL, two sisters Thelma Ayers of Ft. Worth, TX, Shirley Williams of St. Louis, MO, a brother Stack Bateman, and five grandchildren . Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
