Peggy Sue Doster

Dateline: McKenzie, TN Services for Peggy Sue Doster, 69, will be held Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 11:00 am at Gleason First Baptist Church with Bro. Robert Campbell, Bro. Kenny Carr, and Bro. Keith Sumner officiating. Interment will follow at New Valley Cemetery near Gleason, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 6, 2013 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Saturday, September 7, 2013 from 9:00 am until service time at the church in Gleason. Mrs. Doster, a former cosmetologist and a Southern Baptist pastor's wife, died Thursday, September 5, 2013 in Louisville, KY. She was born on December 27, 1943 in Gleason, TN to Zelmer "Preacher" and Dorothy Laverne Jones Williams. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in McKenzie. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Alene Dunning and a brother Bill Jack Williams. Survivors include her husband of 51 years Brother Louis Dean Doster of McKenzie, a daughter Cindy Renee (Mike) Doster-Ware and a son Jonathan Douglas (Stephanie) Doster all of Louisville, four sisters Blondell (Tom) Kittredge of Maryville, TN, Sue Odom of Paris, TN, Bobbie Chandler of Gleason, TN, Kathy (Ronnie) Lawrence of Gleason, TN, a brother John T. (Donna) Williams of Dunlap, TN, a granddaughter Peyton Doster and a grandson Drew Doster. Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
