Dateline: McKenzie, Tennessee Services for Mary Ernestine Patterson Gregg Branon, 93, will be held Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 11:00 am at the McKenzie First United Methodist Church with Reverend Jason Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 23, 2013 from 10:00am until time of service at the church. Mrs. Branon, was a member of First United Methodist Church, a volunteer at McKenzie Regional Hospital and was a member of the United Methodist Women, died Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at McKenzie Healthcare Center. She was born on December 24, 1919 in McKenzie, Tennessee to Joe David and Bessie Ruth Goldsby Patterson. She was preceded in death by her husbands, with 42 years of marriage to James H. Gregg and six years of marriage to Howard Branon, her parents, an infant daughter Marilyn Elizabeth Gregg and a son James Richard Gregg. Survivors include a son, Kenneth H. (Constance) Gregg of Eads, TN, three daughters Linda (Keith) Coleman of McKenzie, TN, Barbara (William R.) Garnett of Somerville, TN, and Kathy (Jimmy) Patterson of McKenzie, TN, ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the McKenzie First United Methodist Church. Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
