Marion Dale Baker

Dateline: Lilburn, Georgia and Formerly of McKenzie Services for Marion Dale Baker, 89, will be held Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Brummitt-McKenzie with Brother Dennis Trull officiating. Interment will follow at Carroll Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 7, 2014 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Saturday, March 8, 2014 from 12 noon until service time. Mrs. Baker, a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) formerly in McKenzie, Huntingdon and Paris, died Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital in Athens, Georgia. She was born on November 2, 1924 in Tiptonville, TN to Sloan and Bessie Mae Downing Roper. She was a member of McKenzie First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Donald Thomas Baker a former Police Officer for the City of McKenzie. Survivors include two daughters Cheri (David) Miller Lilburn, GA, Beth (James) Martin of Bishop, GA, a son Charles Jarred of McKenzie, two sisters Mary Roper of Campbell CA, Wanda Ellis of Pennsylvania, six grandchildren James Chad Martin, Sheri Lynne Martin, Doug (Kim) Miller, Christie Mort, Chuckie Jarred, and Mark Jarred, eight great grandchildren Brooklynn Kennedy, Makenzie Martin, Caleb Martin, Shanna Miller, Alison Miller, Brandie Ownby, Courtney Gatewood, Bethanna Ownby, a niece and nephew Peggy and Clyde Bateman of McKenzie..
