McKENZIE, TN Funeral Services for Opal Coleman will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 13, 2014, at the Cedar Avenue Chapel of Brummitt- McKenzie Funeral Home. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 13, 2014 from 12:00 p.m. until service time. Mrs. Coleman, 96, retired from Bakers IGA Foodliner as a bookkeeper, and member of First Baptist Church for 69 years, died Tuesday at her son's home. She was born September 1, 1917 to William Edmon and Minnie Lee (Reeder) Gooch. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Coleman, two sisters Ruby Lemonds and Verlia Lemonds and one brother Carli Gooch. She is survived by her son, Dennis Raymond (Ann) Coleman, two granddaughters, Angela (Randy) Birmingham and Natalie (Andy) Sumrok, five great-grandchildren, Blake Baker, TJ Birmingham, Lilly Sumrok, Braden Birmingham and Lola Sumrok, and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
