Rae Lynn Verner

Dateline: Camden, TN formerly of McKenzie, TN Services for Rae "Mama Rae" Lynn Darnell Verner, 61, will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home with Brother Fred Morris officiating. Interment will follow at Pravatt-Whitfield Cemetery near Camden. The family will receive friends on Monday April 21, 2014, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 10:00 AM until service time. Mrs. Verner, the Chief Cook for the Benton County Sheriff's Department Jail, died Friday, April 18, 2014 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. She was born on February 15, 1953 in Lansing, Michigan to Ray Darnell, Jr. and Bessie Ziggler Darnell Holloway. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in McKenzie. She was preceded in by her parents and her step-father Lloyd Holloway. Survivors include her husband James Verner of Camden, two daughters Susan (Jason) Moon of Hollow Rock, TN, Jamie (Joel) Summers of McKenzie, a son Michael (Rhonda) Verner of Huntingdon, a sister Diane Johnson of McKenzie, a step brother Ricky Holloway of Paris, nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren and one on the way.
