Funeral Services for Velma Sue "Ruth" Kemp will be, Saturday April 26, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cedar Avenue Chapel of Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery, McKenzie, TN. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 26, 2014 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Mrs. Kemp, 77, an employee in the Bakery Department for E.W. James & Son and member of Grace Baptist Church, died Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Jackson Regional Hospital. She was born in Carroll County September 21, 1936 to Arthur and Annie Bush Toombs. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Keith Allen and one grandson. She is survived by four daughters Patricia (Malcolm) McCullough of Lexington, Donna (David) Belew of Trezevant, Karen (Ricky) Blankenship of McKenzie and Debbie (James) Higdon of Camden, a son Michael (Paula) Doede of McKenzie a sister Linda Kay (Frank) Cochran of McKenzie, fifteen grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren.
