Funeral Services for Larry Wayne Travis will be, Friday, May 2, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cedar Avenue Chapel of Brummitt- McKenzie Funeral Home. Brother Kenny Carr and Brother Lynn Walker will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, McKenzie, TN. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 1, 2014 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. and on Friday, 10:00 a.m. until service time. Mr. Travis, 62, a retired farmer, Rural Mail Carrier and member of Long Heights Baptist Church, died Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at his residence. He was born in McKenzie July 27, 1951 to Miles and Marie Featherston Travis. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother William Travis. He is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Cathy Bobo Travis, two sons Brian (Jennifer) Travis of McKenzie and Eric( Diana) Travis of Ca., a sister Ann(Greg) Hammett of Cedar Grove, two brothers Kenneth Travis of McKenzie and Charles (Pat) Travis of Milan, and three grandchildren Camille Travis, Craegen Travis and Grey Travis (Born 9/14) The family has asked that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to McKenzie Little League Baseball or McKenzie Middle School Softball.
