Nell Bunn Harper

Dateline: McKenzie, Tennessee Services for Evia Vernelle "Nell" Harper, 88, will be held Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Grace Baptist Church in McKenzie with Brother Fred Morris and Brother Gary Greer officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home and Wednesday, July 16, 2014 from 12 Noon until service time of 2:00 pm at Grace Baptist Church. Mrs. Harper, a retired Floor lady supervisor at Gaines Manufacturing Company, died Sunday, July 13, 2014 at McKenzie Healthcare Center. She was born on January 7, 1926 in McKenzie, TN near Pea Ridge to Ivy Randolph and Evia Louneattie Mann Bunn. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church, a member of the Harmony Sunday School Class, Life member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary, a Relay for Life supporter, and a baker of cakes for the last 10 years used for benefits and for her customers. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 50 years Alfred Harper who died in 1997, a sister Mae Bunn Cobb, and a brother Doyle Bunn. Survivors include a son James Lonnie Harper of McKenzie, two grandsons, and a brother Jamie Bunn of Camden, TN.
