John Richard Chapman

Dateline: McKenzie, TN Graveside funeral services for John Richard Chapman, 65, will be held Monday, July 21, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Curtis McCuiston speaking. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 21, 2014 from 10:00 am until departure to the cemetery at the funeral home. Mr. Chapman, who was disabled from working in the Kentucky coal mines, died Friday, July 18, 2014 at his residence. He was born on May 27, 1949 in Barrenshee, KY to Payton and Eunice Mounts Chapman. He was a member of Church of God. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Peggy Chapman, a sister Baby Lilly Mae Chapman, three brothers Sylvan Chapman, George Chapman, and Garlise Chapman. Survivors include a son Marcus Duane (Donna) Chapman of McKenzie, two daughters Merlla (Greg) Fields of Kentucky and Jennell (James) Bryant of Ft. Hood, TX, five sisters Martha Gosch of Ohio, Ezise Collins of Chicago, Dixie Steel, Emma Lewis, Ethel Mitchell all of Kentucky, three brothers Rayman Chapman of Ohio, Carl Chapman and Earl Chapman both of Kentucky, and five grandchildren .
