MCKENZIE, TN Funeral Services for Donald Lynn Gilliam, 55, will be Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cedar Avenue Chapel of Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home. Burial will be at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, McKenzie, TN., Reverend James Hazelwood will officiate. Visitation will be Friday, October 10, 2014, 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m. until service time. Mr. Gilliam died Saturday, October 4, 2014 at his residence. He worked for the State of Tennessee Department of Transportation for twenty-nine years. He was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church where he severed as an adult and youth teacher and assistant song leader. He was a member of the Carroll County Gideon Association and he has been involved in Missionary work in Honduras, Antigua, West Virginia, East Tennessee and Kentucky. Mr. Gilliam was born August 11, 1959 in McKenzie to William Jerry and Mary Evelyn Harrison Gilliam. Survivors include his parents, wife of thirty-two years Janice Marie Lankford Gilliam, two daughters Kayla Denae (Richard) Holmes of McKenzie an April Lynette Gilliam of Milan, son Jeremy Lynn Gilliam of McKenzie, sister Rebecca Carol (Michael) Kyle of Huntingdon, brother William Ray (Lisa) Gilliam of McKenzie and one granddaughter Kelsey Holmes of McKenzie.
