Dateline: McKenzie, TN Services for Karl Franklin Barlow, 83, will be held Sunday, February 8, 2015 at 2:00 pm at McKenzie Church of Christ with Brother Jim Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at Carroll Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 8, 2015 from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 pm at the Church of Christ. Mr. Barlow, retired from Nestaway Industries of McKenzie, a former printer and co-owner of The McKenzie Banner, died Friday, February 7, 2015 at McKenzie Heath Care Center. He was born on December 13, 1931 in Syracuse, New York to Jeremiah Frank and Anne Elizabeth White Barlow. He was a member of McKenzie Church of Christ since 1960, a Korean War veteran serving in the U.S. Navy as an Engineman 2nd Class on the USS Romulus, and a member of the McKenzie Lions Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wives Elizabeth Harris Barlow and Lucille Kemp Barlow. Survivors include his daughters: Robin (Jeffrey) Elizabeth Barlow Thompson of McKenzie, Kristi Leigh Oakley of Kingston Springs, a sister Cindy Arnold Owen of McKenzie, a brother Johnny Barlow of Pennsylvania; five grandchildren: Chandler Oakley, Carter Oakley, Henry Oakley, Kristen Mann, Altiyah Thompson and a great granddaughter Alayla Harris.
