Franklin Brawner

MCKENZIE, TN Funeral Services for Franklin D. Brawner will be Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cedar Avenue Chapel of Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday, February 16, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. and on Tuesday 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will be at Everett's Chapel Cemetery, McKenzie, TN. Mr. Brawner, 78, died Friday, February 13, 2015 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Mr. Brawner is a retired Captain for the Memphis Police Department. He was born November 18, 1936 to Paul McKenzie and Juanita Brogdon Brawner. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Joyce Chapman and Barbara Montgomery. He is survived by his wife of 59 ½ Shirley Rodgers Brawner of McKenzie, daughter Beth Brawner (Barry) Moon of Jasper, AL., two sons Roger Brawner of Nashville and Dana(Katie) Brawner of Commerce City, CO, two sisters Melba Summers and Virginia (Richard) Hooton all of McKenzie, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
