Harold Carnell Blaylock

Dateline: McKenzie, TN Services for Harold Carnell Blaylock, 83, will be held Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home with Brother Paul Conquest officiating. Interment will follow at Caledonia Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 27, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Saturday, February 28, 2015 from 10:00 am until service time. Mr. Blaylock, a former truck driver, driving for Swift Transportation, died Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. He was born on October 21, 1931 in McKenzie, TN to Bert and Mattie Irven Blaylock. He was an US Army veteran serving during the Korean War, an avid rabbit hunter, raised Beagle Hounds dogs, enjoyed four-wheeling, watching old western TV shows, and Atlanta Braves baseball. He was preceded in death by his son Ricky Blaylock, two sisters Alma Ray Dickson and Wanda Fay Smith, a brother David Clarence Singleton. Survivors include his wife Janie Lucille Wheet Cude Blaylock of McKenzie, a daughter Shirley Harris of McKenzie, a son Michael Blaylock of Springville, TN, a step-daughter Faye Wilkinson of McKenzie, a step-son Randy Cude of Only, TN, six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
