Monnie Ruth Crocker

Dateline: Milan, TN formerly of McKenzie, TN Services for Monnie Ruth Crocker, 87, will be held Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home with Brother Eddie Holmes officiating. Interment will follow at Enon Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Thursday, April 2, 2015 from 10:00 am until service time. Mrs. Crocker, a former garment factory employee at Henry I. Siegel and Wilker Brothers Pajama Factory, died Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Milan General Hospital in Milan, TN. She was born on October 21, 1927 in McKenzie, TN to Marion Thomas and Gertrude Gibson Roberts. She was a member of Enon Baptist Church in McKenzie before moving to Milan where she attended Northside Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking crocheting and quilting. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Connie Lee Crocker who died in 1998; four sisters: Veda Williams, Ima Lois Sexton, Iva Nell Auvenshine, Edith Foster; five brothers: C.L. Roberts, Harold Roberts, Arlin Roberts, Aaron Roberts, and Thomas Roberts. Survivors include four children Rutha (J.D.) Williams of Milan, Gaylon Crocker of LaVergne, TN, Hal (Patricia) Crocker of Conway, AR, and Cynthia (David) Hill of Arlington, TN, six grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, a sister Blondell Greer of Battle Creek, MI. Pallbearers to serve will be: Nick Crocker, Hunter VanLoon, Alex Taylor, Drake Taylor, Brock Taylor, Daryl Welch, and Nathan Williams. Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
