Dateline: McKenzie, TN Services for Harold Wayne Vinson, 77, will be held Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home with Reverend James Smith and Brother Dennis Trull officiating. Interment will follow at Carroll Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 8, 2015 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Saturday, May 9, 2015 from 11:00 am until service time. Mr. Vinson, a former manager of Tennessee Pipe and Supply in McKenzie and later to be known as Apex Supply and still later BR Supply, he was also a salesman of plumbing and electrical supplies, and a cattle farmer, died Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson. He was born on August 22, 1937 in Enville, TN to Clifford Wesley and Bernice Inetha Bishop Vinson. He was a member of McKenzie First Baptist Church and was a Carroll County Commissioner. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife Shirley Ownby Vinson of McKenzie, a daughter Mistee (Eric) Cooper of McKenzie, two sisters Paulette Wiseman of Paris, Mary Jo (Larry) Higgins of McKenzie, a brother Bobby (Janice) Vinson of Nashville, a granddaughter Kelsey Cooper of Memphis, and a step granddaughter Savanna Cooper of Paris. .
