Dateline: McKenzie, TN Services for William Edward Wallace, 71, will be held Monday, May 25, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home with Brother Hazlewood officiating. Interment will follow at Carroll Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 24, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Monday, May 25, 2015, from 11:00 am until service time. Mr. Wallace retired from the Carroll County Electric Department after 37 years and was the owner of Mr. Ed's Kennels in McKenzie, died Friday, May 22, 2015 at his residence. He was born on November 30, 1943 in Henry, Tennessee to J B and Dorothy Dinkins Wallace He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Henry and served nine years with the Tennessee Army National Guard Company A 4/109 Armor with rank of Staff Sergeant (E-6). He was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter Ashley Travis, and a brother James Veltman Wallace. Survivors include his wife of 50 years Delores Ann Shipp Wallace of McKenzie, three daughters Veda (Bill) Lane, Becky (Kevin) Travis, and Heather (Robert) Williams all of McKenzie, five grandchildren: Lacey Lane, Destiny Lane, Austin Travis, Ethan Travis, and Chloe Williams. Pallbearers serving will be Becky Travis, Heather Williams, Kevin Travis, Bill Lane, Robert Williams, and Austin Travis; and honorary pallbearers will be Lacey Lane, Destiny Lane, Chloe Williams, and Ethan Travis.
