Funeral Services for Willis (Bill) G. Boothe will be Sunday, July 12, 2015 at 2: 00 p.m. at the Cedar Avenue Chapel of Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, McKenzie, TN. Visitation will be Sunday, July 12, 2015, 10:00 a.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. Mr. Boothe, 87, died Thursday, July 9, 2015 at his daughter's home. He was born February 26, 1928 in Gleason, TN to Bryan and Laura Boothe. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in McKenzie, TN. He was retired from the United States Postal Service and was a lifelong farmer. He served his country in the United States Army during the post WWII occupation of Japan and during the Korean War. He is survived by his daughter, Betty Boothe Merrick (Bryan) of McKenzie; four grandchildren Ashley Ramshur(John), Matt Merrick (Jessica), Will Merrick and Mitch Merrick; and two great grandchildren, McCoy and Maggie Nell Merrick. He is also survived by two step-daughters, Teresa McClure Howarth of Cordova, and Marilyn McClure Hickam of Jackson; five step-grandchildren, Jason Howarth (Laura), Carrie Adams (Greg), Andrew Howarth, Anna Hickam and John Hickam; and three step-great-grandchildren, Mary Catherine Adams, Walker Ann Adams and Austin Howarth. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ann Black Boothe; his parents; three sisters, Dorothy Smith, Velma Tucker and Geneva Cravens; and one brother Bryan Boothe, Jr. He was also preceded in death by his second wife, Mary Lou McClure Boothe.
