Bertha Lois Tilley

Dateline: McKenzie, TN Services for Bertha Lois Tilley, 91, will be held Sunday, July 12, 2015 at 4:00 pm at McKenzie First Baptist Church with Brother Dennis Trull officiating. Interment will follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Gleason, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 11, 2015 from 5:30 pm until 8:00 pm at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home and Sunday, July 12, 2015 at the McKenzie First Baptist Church from 1:00 pm until service time. Mrs. Tilley, a beautician in Gleason and worked in restaurants over the past few years, at J & J Restaurant in Gleason, the Catfish Restaurant and Higs Restaurant in McKenzie, died Saturday July 11, 2015, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. She was born on November 10, 1923 in Gleason, TN to Clifton and Libby Rogers Taylor. She was a member of the McKenzie First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Woodford "Woody" Tilley, and a sister and brother; Faye Spikes and Joe Taylor. Survivors include two daughters Sandra Bradberry of McKenzie, Cindy (Jeff) Stone of Union City, a son Sam (Paula) Tilley of Jackson, TN, three grandsons Brent (Sarah) Bradberry of McKenzie, Jason (Kim) Tilley of Jackson, TN and Grant Tilley of Jackson, TN. The family has asked, one can consider a memorial to either the McKenzie First Baptist Church or the Pleasant Valley Methodist Church of Union City in Mrs. Bertha Lois' name.
