David Wray Adams, Jr.

Dateline: McKenzie, TN Services for David Wray Adams, Jr., 55, will be held Monday, July 13, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home with Brother Tim Coleman officiating. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 13, 2015 from 10:30 am until service time. Mr. Adams, a truck driver, died Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. He was born on February 20, 1960 in McKenzie to Jane McFadden and David Wray Adams, Sr. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wynn, Arkansas and a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps being discharged from an injury in 1979. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Mildred Hundley and Bruce McFadden, his paternal grandparents Ernest and Flossie Adams, and a brother Eric Wray Adams. Survivors include his wife of 14 years Janet Harris Adams, a daughter Felicia (Jonathan) Smith of Paris, TN, a son David Charles Dahlgren of North Dakota, his mother and step father Jane and Harold Smothers of McKenzie, his step mother and father Shirley and David Wray Adams, Sr. of Kalamazoo, MI, five sisters Rose Getts, Marsha Ismiali, Maria Poole all of Kalamazoo, MI, Kathy Baker of Michigan, and Melanie Spann of Louisville, two brothers Byron Clothier of Vicksburg, MI, David Alan Adams of Fulton, MI, and eight step grandchildren. Pallbearers serving will be Jerry Watts, Bill Lane, Jeff Brawner, Nickolas Bowers, Jeff, Finley, Michael Finley and David Hale. Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
