Elvis Ray Jones

Dateline: McKenzie, TN Funeral services for Elvis Ray Jones, 62, will be held Monday, July 20, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home with Brother Chris Burnine officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery near McKenzie. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 19, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Monday, July 20, 2015 from 11:00 am until service time. Mr. Jones, a Registered Nurse, died Saturday, July 18, 2015 at his sister's residence. He was born on September 19, 1952 in McKenzie, TN to Elgie R. and Dorthy Thomas Jones. He was a member of the Non-Denominational Church, he had been a Licensed Practical Nurse for 14 years before coming a Registered Nurse for 25 years. Ray started at the old Carroll County Hospital in Huntingdon, worked for Baptist Memorial Hospital at Huntingdon, worked at McKenzie Regional Hospital and most recently working at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin, TN, he was also a member of the Tennessee Nurses Association. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister Gail Jones. Survivors include his mother Mrs. Dorthy Jones of McKenzie, two sisters and a brother Janie Moore, Sandra Laws and Wayne Jones all of McKenzie .
