Richard Bruce Burton

Dateline: MCKENZIE,TN Graveside funeral services for Richard Bruce Burton, 71, will be held Friday, July 24, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 24, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at the Cedar Avenue Chapel of Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home. Mr. Burton a retired salesman for TAMCO, died Monday, July 20, 2015 at Hosparus in Louisville, KY. He was born on February 20, 1944 in Kane, PA to Edward David and Dorothy Agnes Humes Burton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ann Baker Burton and his parents. Survivors include two daughters Lisa (Jim) Leonard and Lesli (Ben) Pottorff all of Louisville, KY, one son Jay (Sarah) Burton of Nashville, two sisters Jan Burton and Judy Minich both of Bradford, PA, one brother David Burton of Bradford, PA and three grandchildren Isaac and Eli Pottorff and Nora Burton. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that all gift contributions be made by check to the Betty Burton 529 Scholarship fund for the benefit of Richard & Betty's grandchildren c/o Lisa Burton Leonard.
