Shirley Vinson

Shirley A. Vinson, 78, died Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Henry Co. Medical Center. Funeral services will be Monday, September 7, 2015 11:00 a.m. at the Cedar Avenue Chapel of Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home. Brother Dennis Trull will officiate. Visitation will be held Sunday from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Monday 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will be at Carroll Memorial Gardens, McKenzie, TN. Mrs. Vinson was an office manager for Wilker Brothers and Gaines, MFG, and a member of First Baptist Church. She was born March 6, 1937 in McKenzie to Glen and Nellie Sampson Ownby. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold Vinson, a sister Marjorie Chandler and a brother Harold Ownby. She is survived by her daughter Mistee (Eric) Cooper of McKenzie, a sister Janice Ownby of McKenzie a granddaughter Kelsey Cooper and a step-granddaughter Savanna (Jon) Dyer.
