Virda Louise Scott

Funeral services for Virda Louise Scott, 87, will be Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cedar Avenue Chapel of Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home. Brother John Forgy will officiate. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday September 7, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday 10:00 a.m. until service time. Mrs. Scott, a cook and a member of McKenzie Church of Christ, died Sunday, September 6, 2015 at her residence. In 1998 she was elected Mother of the Year. She was born July 16, 1928 in Mountain View, AR to Robert and Endi Brittian Storey. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gordon Scott, daughter Vicki Guinn, three sons Danny Scott, Timmy Scott and Clarence William More Jr., five sisters Genair Decker, Irene Jenkins, Myrtle Wakefield, Nora Poff and Juanita Bowman and two brothers J.H. Storey and Herman Storey. She is survived by six daughters Brenda (Jim) Starnes of Moblie, AL, Linda (Jerry) Barber of Trezevant, Lonnie Saylor of McKenzie, Luann (Gene) Potts of Atwood, Tammy Mayberry of Cottage Grove and Cindy (James) Stewart of Dresden, seven sons Carey (Joan) Moore of AshFlatt, AR, Robby (Debbie) Moore of Paris, Wayne(Betty) Moore of Bruceton, Arthur ( Beverly) Moore of White House, Terry(Andrea) Moore of McKenzie, Wayne( Karen) Scott of Henry and Larry (Francis) Scott of Huntingdon, two sisters Bobbie Riddick of Maynard, AR of Eleanor Vessels, CA., thirty one grandchildren, seventy- seven great-grandchildren and twenty five great-great-grandchildren.
