Martha Mae Highfill

Dateline: McKenzie, TN Graveside funeral services for Martha Mae Highfill, age 69, will be held Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Reverend Doctor Robert Prosser officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 23, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Saturday, October 24, 2015 from 1:00 pm until 1:45 pm. Mrs. Highfill, a Receptionist for Bethel University, died Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at St. Thomas Hospital West in Nashville. She was born on May 4, 1946 in Gadsden, Alabama to Herman and Dorothy Whitehead Gaines. She was a member of McKenzie First Baptist Church and an active member of the Carroll County Humane Society. She was preceded in death by her parents and father in law Bill Highfill. Survivors include her husband Roger Highfill of McKenzie, two daughters Mona (Steve) Cude and Rina (Steve) Prosser all of McKenzie, two sisters Becky Peters of Oregon and Shelia Yarbrough of Gadsden, AL, five grandchildren: Colby Prosser, Wendy Wallace, Shelby Prosser, Luke Prosser, and Abbey Prosser.
