Dateline: TREZEVANT,TN Funeral Services for James O'Neill Hinton will be held Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Trezevant, with Doctor John Carlock officiating. Interment will follow at Trezevant Cemetery, Trezevant, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Brummitt Funeral Home Trezevant from 5:30pm-7:30pm. Mr. Hinton, 67, died Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Maplewood Health & Rehab Center, Jackson, TN. He was born August 18, 1948, TN to James and Georgia Bryant Hinton. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Phyllis Camper Hinton. Mr. Hinton was a U.S. Marine and a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Trezevant. Throughout his career he worked in livestock advertising, promotion, consulting and sales management. He has worked for the following Livestock Weekly, TN Livestock Association as head of promotion and advertising, TN Pork Producers Association, Freeman Publishing, Angus Journal, Partner in Meng & Hinton Sales and Service, Southern Beef Producer, Owner of Hinton Sales & Service, Duck Hill Ranch, Farm Progress, 4 L Hereford Farms, served as Secretary/Treasurer of the TN Angus Association for 29 years, served as Secretary/ Treasure of Tennessee Agribition for over 20 years, received the Distinguished Service Award to the Livestock Industry from the University of Tennessee and at the time of his death he was operating Hinton Sales and Service and employed by 4 L Hereford Farms.
