Betty Ann McCadams Hilliard

     Dateline: McKenzie, TN   Services for Betty Ann Hilliard, 85, will be held Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 3:30 pm at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home with Brother Jim Roberts officiating.  Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 from 1:00 pm until service time.  Mrs. Hilliard, a retired receptionist for Ted Coleman’s State Farm Insurance Agency in McKenzie from 1971-1992, a former salesclerk at James Williams’ Ben Franklin five and dime store, and helped operate the family’s Grade A dairy parlor and farm in the Macedonia Community, died Saturday, December 19, 2015 at McKenzie Regional Hospital.  She was born on January 1, 1930 in McKenzie, Tennessee near the Cozart’s Store Community to Wade and Stella Allen McCadams. She was a member of McKenzie Church of Christ, a member of the Macedonia FCE Club for over 50 years, and attended Bethel College.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Douglas Glen Hilliard who died December 20, 2004, a sister Wade Evelyn Brush, a brother Reuben Earl McCadams, and a great grandson Maverick Tuscan.    Survivors include a daughter Janet (Jim) Martin of Old Hickory, TN, two sons Doug (Teresa) Hilliard and David (Jenny) Hilliard of McKenzie, a brother Billy Joe (Martha) McCadams of McKenzie, seven grandchildren: Matthew (Melayne) Martin, Ryan (Ashley) Martin, Aaron Hilliard, Sophie Hilliard, Amanda (Kevin) Tuscan, Danielle Brownlee, and Martin Brownlee, and four great grandchildren.   Pallbearers serving will be Aaron Hilliard, Matt Martin, Ryan Martin, Scott York, Chad Batton, and Kevin Tuscan.   The family has asked to please consider memorials can be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital in Memphis, TN or to the McKenzie Church of Christ.   Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  For more information please call (731) 352-4848 or visit www.brummittmckenziefuneralhome.com.
