Jack Allen Hammonds

    Dateline: MCKENZIE, TN    A Memorial Service for Jack Allen Hammonds will be held Sunday, January 17, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at the Trinity Baptist Church in Cordova, TN. Family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.   Lieutenant (Retired) Hammonds, 71, died Monday, January 11, 2016 at his residence. He was a retired Lieutenant for the Memphis Police Department and the City of Trezevant and a veteran of the U S Air Force serving during the Vietnam war era. He was born October 27, 1944 in Memphis to Madison Preston and Martha Strickland Hammonds. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Margaret Ann Raible.   He is survived by his wife Jan Mercer Hammonds of McKenzie, three daughters Marla (Ken) Lankford of Cordova, Sara Goodhart of Terre Haute, IN and Lisa (Carson) Ghrisby of Brighton one sister JoAnna (Mike) Foster of Germantown, one brother Preston (Sharon) Hammonds, Jr.  of Bartlett and seven grandchildren Corey Lankford, Emily Lankford, Abby Lankford, Jake Goodhart, James Goodhart, Rebecca Ghrisby and Elizabeth Ghrisby.   The church address is 8899 Trinity Road, Cordova, TN 38018.
