Arlen Eugene Barnes

  Dateline: McKenzie, Tennessee   Services for Arlen Eugene Barnes, 70, will be held Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 3:00 pm at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home with Brother Freddie McDaniel officiating.  Cremation will follow the funeral service.  The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 30, 2016 from 11:00 am until service time.  Mr. Barnes, a truck Driver for Marten Transport with over one million miles driven, died Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin, TN.  He was born on September 13, 1945 in Decatur, Illinois to Cecil and Linda Campbell Barnes. He was a Baptist in faith.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Arlene Barnes, a granddaughter Alissia Kay Hernandez, a sister June Campbell, and two brothers Hershal Campbell and Dick Campbell.    Survivors include his wife of nine years Patsy Pinson Barnes of McKenzie, three daughters Sue Barnes of McKenzie, Amanda Barnes of Dixie, MS, Andrea Ainsworth of Collins MS, a step-daughter Tammy Barnhart of McKenzie, two sons Arlen Eugene Barnes, Jr. of Patel, MS, a step-son Jamey Harrison of McKenzie, 14 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.    Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  For more information please call (731) 352-4848 or visit www.brummittmckenziefuneralhome.com.
