Edith Imogene Lancie

  Dateline: Trezevant, Tennessee   Services for Edith Imogene Lancie, 95, will be held Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Trezevant First Baptist Church with Brother Malcolm Norton officiating.  Interment will follow at Trezevant Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Brummitt Funeral Home in Trezevant and Thursday, February 11, 2016 from 11:00 am until service time at the church.  Mrs. Lancie, a former Teacher’s Aide and homemaker, died Saturday, February 6, 2016 at her residence.  She was born on May 11, 1920 in Gann, Tennessee to Fred and Monnie Arnold Newbill. She was a member of the Trezevant First Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 57 years Leo George Lancie who died in 2004 and a sister Willodene Yancy.    Survivors include two daughters: Linda (Major) Walpole and Paula Wood all of Trezevant and two grandchildren: John Paul Wood and Sarah Beth Wood both of Trezevant.    Brummitt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  For more information please call (731) 669-3871 or visit www.brummittmckenziefuneralhome.com.   Serving as pallbearers will be: Rich Browning, Jim Moore, Jim Pirtle, John Paul Wood, David Lowrey, Russell Pryor, Timmy Goode, and Kenny Hollowell.
