Services for Margaret Bush Baker, 81, will be held Monday, February 29, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Brummitt-McKenzie funeral Home with Brother Dennis Trull officiating. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 28, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. and on Monday, 9:30 a.m. until service time. Mrs. Baker, a Retired United States Postal Service Rural Route Mail Carrier, died Friday, Friday February 26, 2016 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She was born on September 11, 1934 in Paris, TN to Claude and Mary Williams Owen. She was a member of First Baptist Church in McKenzie, former President of Rural Route Carriers Association and graduate of Grove High School. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Novacine “Sis” Jones, Bud Owens, Sue Olive, Jack Owens, Mary Lou Dupes and James “Rudy” Owens. Survivors include her husband John W. Baker, two daughters Jan (Steve) Payne and Mary Ann (Randy) Garner, a son Doug Bush, a sister Carolyn Townsend, five grandchildren: Amy, Wes, Caleb, James and Jonathan and one great grandchild Jordan. Pallbearers to serve will be: Wes Garner, Caleb Garner, Randy Garner, Kirk Martin, Steve Payne, Tony Owens and James A. Bush. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in McKenzie,TN.
