Dorothy "Dot" Jean Franklin

Dateline: Milan,TN   Services for Dorothy Jean Franklin, 71, will be held Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home with Brother Kenny Carr officiating. Interment will follow at Hornbeak Cemetery, Greenfield, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 26, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.at the Cedar Avenue Chapel of Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home. Mrs. Franklin, a retired Truck Driver and LPN, died Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Tennova Healthcare – Regional of Jackson. She was born on July 3, 1944 in Gibson County to Vern and Geraldine Price Rimmer. She was a member of Long Heights Baptist Church in McKenzie. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Eddy Franklin, and one brother Terry Rimmer.   Survivors include her daughter Lori (Andy) Vaughn of Milan, her son Carey (Brenda) Franklin of McKenzie, four sisters Judy (Bobby) Cole, Nellie (Malcolm) Horton, Bettie (Tom) Horton and Mary Savage all of McKenzie, two brothers Jerry Rimmer of McKenzie and Johnny Rimmer of Trezevant, four grandchildren Bethany (Chris) Thomas, Shelley (Jonathan) Wood, Cari (Colton) Moore and Eddy Franklin and three great-grandchildren Joseph Roberts, Adrianna Roberts and Lawrence Roberts.
