Dateline: Trezevant, TN Services for Carol Kaye Gilliam, 67, will be held Sunday, May 29, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home with Brother James Hazlewood officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 28, 2016 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Sunday, May 29, 2016 from 12 noon until service time. Mrs. Gilliam, a retired Assistant Vice-President of the Carroll Bank and Trust in McKenzie died Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. She was born on July 16, 1948 in Brazil, Tennessee. She was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church and was Honorary Co-chair with Beverly Ellis of the Carroll North Relay for Life in 2005, and was the former First Lady of Trezevant. She was preceded in death by her mother Ruby Carol Bates Bryant. Survivors include her husband James Ross Gilliam of Trezevant, her son Jimmy Gilliam of Trezevant, a granddaughter Celina Michelle (Caleb) Crocker of Lavinia, TN, and a grandson Zachary James Gilliam of Trezevant. Pallbearers who will be serving: Norman Coulter, Mike Carey, Charles Seaton, Walter Winchester, Phil Bates, Ray Gilliam, and James Marshall. Honorary pallbearers will be Teresa Wilson, Beverly Ellis, and Gail Coulter. Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
