Berneal Louise McKennie

Dateline: McKenzie, TN   Services for Berneal Louise McKennie, 90, will be held Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Enon Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Monday, May 30, 2016 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Tuesday, May 31, 2016 from 11:00 am until service time.  Mrs. McKennie, a retired factory worker, died Friday, May 27, 2016 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.  She was born on November 12, 1925 in Lansing, Michigan to Lamoine and Grace Ernst Zigler. She was a member of Enon Missionary Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband Maurice McKennie, her parents, a sister Bessie Holloway, and a brother Lawrence Zigler.    Survivors include a son Gary McKennie of McKenzie, TN, a granddaughter Miranda Phelps of Bowling Green, KY, a grandson Jimmy “Buddy” McKennie of McKenzie, and seven great grandchildren: Christa Rimmer, Elizabeth Rimmer, Sarah Rimmer, Ashley Rimmer, Kyle McKennie, Taylor McKennie, and Dalton McKennie.        Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  For more information please call (731) 352-4848 or visit www.brummittmckenziefuneralhome.com.
