Elizabeth Campbell Jones

  Dateline: McKenzie, TN   Services for Elizabeth C. Jones, 92, will be held Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at 10:00 am at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home with Brother Ronnie McClure officiating.  Interment will follow at Everetts Chapel Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Monday, July 11, 2016 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Tuesday, July 12, 2016 from 8:30 am until service time.  Ms. Jones, a retired Brown Shoe Company employee and the former owner of Jones’ Discount Shoe Store in McKenzie and Camden, died Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Camden Health Care in Camden, TN.  She was born on April 12, 1924 in McKenzie, TN to Othar Strawl and Martha Cleo Hogue Campbell. She was a member of Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church neat McKenzie.  She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Phillip Jones, a granddaughter Tammy Carter, a sister Thelma Deck, and her husband Harry Lee Jones.    Survivors include four daughters Diana (Fred) Haney of Panama City Beach, FL, Brenda (Joe) Woodard of Camden, TN, Beth (Jerry) Callis of Nashville, and Sherry Jones of Knoxville, TN, a sister Julia Sawyers of Gleason, a brother Kenneth (Joyce) Campbell of McKenzie, seven grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.    Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  For more information please call (731) 352-4848 or visit www.brummittmckenziefuneralhome.com.
