Sarah Marie Allen

Dateline: McKenzie, TN   Services for Sarah Marie Mancell Allen, 82, will be held Friday, October 7, 2016 at 11:00 am at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home with Brother Gene Price officiating.  Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 6, 2016 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Friday, October 7, 2016 from 9:00 am until service time.  Mrs. Allen, a Domestic Engineer (Homemaker), died Monday, October 3, 2016 at her residence.  She was born on October 7, 1933 to Bernice and Mildred Christian Mancell. She was a member of VFW Post #4939 Ladies Auxiliary.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 59 years Hershell Allen who died July 21, 2010, a sister Kay Mancell Morris and a brother William “Hoppy” Mancell.    Survivors include two daughters Sharon Ann (Stephen) Messina of Dixon, IL, Barbara Jo (Jerry) Cipowski of Glendale Heights, IL, a sister Betty Mancell Grant of Dresden, TN, three brothers Jimmy Mancell of Buchannan, TN, Wayne Mancell of Dyersburg, TN, and David Mancell of Mississippi, four grandchildren Stacey (Steve) Rhody, Christi (Kerry) Myers, Marie (Corey) Ryan, and Jay (Danielle) Cipowski, eight great grandchildren Alexis Clark, Brandon Myers, Danielle Rhody, Nicholas Rhody, Anthony Myers, Riley Ryan, Caleb Ryan, and Gavin Cipowski.   Pallbearers who will be serving are Jay Cipowski, Steve Rhody, Corey Ryan, Joe Ray Mancell, Jeff Mancell, and John Mancell.   Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  For more information please call (731) 352-4848 or visit www.brummittmckenziefuneralhome.com.
