Dorthy Mae Pate

  Dateline: McKenzie, TN   Services for Dorthy Mae Pate, 97, will be held Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at 2:30 pm at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home with Brother Alan Trull officiating.  Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Monday, October 31, 2016 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from 12 noon until service time.  Mrs. Pate, a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), died Saturday, October 29, 2016 at McKenzie Healthcare Center.  She was born on October 19, 1919 in Key Springs, Kentucky to Elbert Thomas and Fannie Mae Miles Brown. She was a member of McKenzie First Baptist Church and McKenzie Masonic Lodge #96 Eastern Star.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lyndol Leroy Pate who died in 1989, two grandsons Donnie Stewart, Jr. and Roy Lynn Stewart, three sisters, and four brothers.    Survivors include her two daughters Mary (Kenneth) Pinkley of Huntingdon, TN and Lynda (Donnie) Stewart of McKenzie, TN, a sister Betty Kirby of West Point, Mississippi, two brothers Billy Brown of The Villages, FL, David Brown of Illinois, her grandchildren Beth (Chuck) Sisson, Deidrea Mathis, and Kendrea (Gary) Mason, a granddaughter in law Christi Stewart, and her great grandchildren Tyler Sisson, Nick (Lisa) Stewart, Jake Mason, Monica Mason, and Whitley Stewart.    Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  For more information please call (731) 352-4848 or visit www.brummittmckenziefuneralhome.com.
