Patricia Louise Mort

Dateline: McKenzie, TN   Services for Patricia Louise Mort, 67, will be held Monday, November 7, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home with Brother George Avery officiating.  Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Monday, November 7, 2016 from 11:00 am until service time.  Mrs. Mort, a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Phoenix Baptist Hospital in Phoenix, AZ, died Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Hillview Community Living Center in Dresden, TN.  She was born on August 20, 1949 in Memphis, TN to Charles Edward and Helen Harris Turner. She attended Gibson High Scholl in Gibson, TN.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband David George Mort who died October 16, 2013 and a son Buddy Herron.    Survivors include a daughter Deana (Jeff) Weleba of Victorville, CA, three sons Pete (Melody) Mort of McKenzie, Bobby Mort of McKenzie, and Scott (Brandy) Herron of Phoenix, AZ, two sisters Tiny (Peter) Ruiz of Medon, TN, Diane Chandler of Trenton, TN, three brothers David Turner of Humboldt, TN, Gary (Cathy) Turner of Chicago, IL, Michael Turner of Bradford, TN, 16 grandchildren: Jessica, Tiffany, Brandie, Desirae, Mi Kay la, Tammi, Kyle, James, Josh, Jacob, Jenna, Melissa, Megan, Scott, Jordan, Cameron, six great grandchildren: Nathaniel, Rylee, Arianna, Brayden, Shelby, and Dekklen.  Pallbearers who will be serving are Pete Mort, Bobby Mort, Kyle Mort, Robert Sweatt, Thomas Dunn, and Bud Rogers.   Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  For more information please call (731) 352-4848 or visit www.brummittmckenziefuneralhome.com.
