A funeral service for Bertha Hart Barlow is Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Brummitt-McKenzie Funeral Home. Brother Bryan Oakes will officiate. Visitation is Monday, April 17, 2017 5:00 p.m – 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment is at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, Henry, TN.  Mrs. Barlow, 80, a retired factory worker, and janitorial worker for McKenzie Elementary School, died Saturday, April 15, 2017 at her residence. She is a member of Freedom Independence Full Gospel Church.  She was born December 5, 1936 in Scott County, KY to General and Mary Miller Slaven. She was preceded in death by her husband’s AG Hart and Billy Barlow, daughter Nena Hart, son John Slaven, sister Viola Mae Ledbeter and brother Harlon Slaven.  Survivors include her daughters Janice Simons of Bay City, Michigan, Mary Ann (Roger) Harper of Dyer, Connie ( Michael) Key of McKenzie and Mary Elizabeth (Bryan) Oakes of Huntingdon, sons Billy W. ( Mary) Barlow of McKenzie, Andrew (Dee) Hart of Martin, Albert Barlow of Paris, Marion Ray Hart of McKenzie and Jerry Barlow of Springville, brothers Leamon ( Ruby) Slaven of Florida and Rudy (Mary) Slaven of Jamestown, thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
