A funeral service for Ivy Leon Purvis is Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Gleason, TN. Brother Jim Pinnell will officiate. Visitation is Tuesday,  April 18, 2017 12:00 p.m – 2:00 p.m.  Interment is at Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Gleason, TN.  Mr. Purvis, 86, a retired grocery manager, died Friday, April 14, 2017 at McKenzie Health Care Center. He is a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Gleason.  He was born October 16, 1930 in Trezevant,TN to Barnie and Susie Brown Purvis. He was preceded in death by his wife Wanda Gay Castleman Purvis, two sisters Imogene Woodall and Mildred Smith, four brothers Billy Purvis, Jimmy Purvis, Glynn Purvis and Lloyd Purvis and step-grandson Branon Sneed.  Survivors include his wife Carolyn Blackburn Purvis of McKenzie, one son Keith (Vickie) Purvis of Germantown, step-son Rick (Melissa) Hutton of Rolla, MO, two step-daughters Kim (Bill) Lehman of St Claire, MO, Shari Hutton (Mike Furois) of Phoneix, AZ, four grandchildren Austin ( Allison) Purvis, Lindsey Purvis, Monica Terry, Sheena Tegethoff and two step grandchildren Madison Hutton and Blake Hutton
